OLD HEART PINE FLOORING & MILLWORK
ONLY AVAILABLE FROM THE JOINERY CO.
Old Heart Pine flooring is a special grade of Heart Pine created by Dewey Hudson, owner of The Joinery Company. It has a special patina which is created by an environmentally friendly aging process invented by Dewey. This special aging process gives each plank the look and feel of floors that are already 75 to 100 years old. The aged color of the planks is in the medium brown range and is the same all the way through the face.
So, no matter how many times a floor is sanded over its lifetime, its finished color will always be the same after applying a natural finish. Old Heart Pine floors are only available as engineered floors with a penetrating natural oil finish. Engineered Old Heart Pine Flooring can be nailed, glued, or floated anywhere–above grade, below grade, or on grade over either concrete or wooden subfloors. They are guaranteed not to water spot and are extremely easy to care for.
[The floors on this page show our aging process on Heart Pine. But, our aging process is available on all of our species.]
